FAQ KAYAK ENSENADA
Is it safe? The Bufadora area is on the ocean, so gets stronger waves in the afternoon, so we go early while it’s calmer. Life jackets and a certified guide provided of course!
For extra calm waters, request an estuary and we can do that for adults, and always for kids under 10.
Will we get wet? Yes, kayaking on the ocean with waves you will get splashes. Very few capsize, so don’t worry!
Do you have a changing room? Yes, we have a changing room and you can leave valuables there or best in the vehicle.
Can we combine this with walking, eating shopping BlowHole? Yes! It is nearby and easy place to relax eat and shop. Check the Blog for Bufadora tips.
What if weather is bad? We watch the weather and will offer an alternative tour or refund if it is not safe to kayak as part of our policies.

What to Wear? Water shoes or no shoes, light clothes that dry quickly. We recommend bring change of clothes. Sunblock or big hat;) Sunglasses are nice on a sunny day. We provide life jackets. No helmets or wetsuits provided or needed.
Is there an age minimum? For safety we allow minimum 12 years old for Bufadora Kayaking in single kayak, depending on conditions. 10-12 can be in a double kayak with adult. For those younger than 10, we can kayak the Estuary near the Bufadora, where it is always calm (no waves).
Can we get double kayaks? Yes! Be sure to request before tour day so we can prepare. Same cost!
Is there a weight Limit? 300 lbs individual kayak, 250 for doubles
Do you have a bathroom? Yes, we have a bathroom on-site at Kayak Bufadora put in, so you use it before the 90min kayak tour
How far is Kayak from Cruiseport? About 35 to 45-minute scenic drive.
Do we need kayak experience? Many guests do not have experience and enjoy it. If you are worried, we suggest calm waters of the estuary for the first experience. (You won’t get as wet either)

Our family of 5 LOVED the kayak tour to La Bufadora! We have been to La Bufadora before so wanted something a little different. This was perfect! Our tour guide met us just outside the gates of the dock and drove us to our adventure. Willy was a great driver! The kayak guides met us at the water and had the kayaks all ready. They were great guides and we all had so much fun! We spent some time shopping and eating and got lots of great pictures after!

We booked the Kayaking excursion and it was totally memorable, My father-in-law loved it and I am so glad he got to experience it! Our Kayaking guides were Ensau and Lindsey - awesome people! Lindsey kept an eye on us and made sure we were safe, she at one point parked her kayak in front of rocks so we wouldn't run into. I really enjoyed Ensau- he so funny. He spent so much time talking with us and explaining to us what we saw.
Highly recommend this company! Next time we go to Ensenda will book again!
