FAQ HORSEBACK RIDING ENSENADA
What is Minimum Age? 5 years old minimum to ride alone with parental consent. Kids under 5 and younger must share a horse with adults.
Kids love the ‘Echo Canyon’ route where they can shout into a canyon and hear echo. There is a simple riding lesson, as well as a convenient mounting platform for easy mounting and dismounting.
Do you have a mountain ride option? Yes, at another location - Las Canadas, a ride through the hills, with an outlook point with canon echo. And is 60-75 min route with a mounted guide, and return route is different than beginning.

I am an experienced rider - is this good for me?
Yes, and you will likely enjoy the quality of the horse care and ride of our Echo Canyon. Same price and a 15-minute longer ride. Request this when you book in notes or ask for a combo quote.
Can this be combined with Blowhole Tour? Yes! Both Mountain and Beach rides can be combined. And we handle all the driving! Here
Can we see La Bufadora? No, it is on the other side of the peninsula and mountains.
Are these horses safe?
Yes, trail horses are very trained to follow the horse in front. No riding experience is needed. Mountain Echo Canyon ride features a new rider instruction, mounted guide, and guides are more bilingual.
Is this safe for kids?
Yes, horses are tame. Echo Canyon is safest with best equipment, we strongly recommend this route for kids. And hearing the echo is a hoot!
What are the most popular Combos?
You can combine easily the Echo Canyon Ride with Zipline and ATV. Beach ride is near Bufadora and Pai Pai.
Zipline and Horseback Mountain riding is popular and, for couples connection, horseback and 90 min massage;)
For a full day, the Horseback- ATV- Zipline at Las Canadas is a thrill and reduces transportation time.
If I have several activities, can some in my group sit out this activity?
Yes, with a private excursion, some can ride along, sit out the horse ride, and get a discount.
What to wear for Horseback Riding?
If you’ve never ridden before, horseback riding can feel like a bit of a daunting challenge! It’s important to feel relaxed and comfortable when riding to have an enjoyable experience, for both you and your horse friend!
Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. Long sleeve shirt, and comfortable pants are best, not required.
Don’t wear flip-flops, skirts or dresses.
Do I need to riding experience? No, just a willingness to learn and stay calm;) Echo Canyon has short instruction period, and mounted guide. A guide will walk with the horses if you request on the beach ride.
I am an experienced rider, is there an option north of Ensenada to avoid traffic and have a more intimate ride?
Yes, for experienced riders we partner with a ranch north of town. Pricing is $96 each for 4-7. Request this in a custom quote.
Do you work with Local Horse Rescues?
Yes, in fall of 2023 All the Pretty Horses of Baja was our quarterly giveback for massage and excursion teams.
Is there a maximum weight? Horses can safely carry up to 260lbs rider.
How do I reserve? For the single tour, just $40 online refundable deposit above. For combo, book any single tour you want and check the box for when you are booking and we will email confirm the total price, or request a combo quote.
Can you handle groups of 8-25? Yes, we can take you in one vehicle or split you into two vehicles for flexibility.

We did the package of three (Horseback riding, ATV riding, Zip lining) with Emilio as our personal tour guide. He was so accommodating and knew so much about the sites and activities. He made our experience so much better because he was funny and very helpful always asking if we needed anything and would go out of his way if we asked. Tony was the best tour guide, he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. He made sure we were safe and enjoyed ourselves. We went ATVing, horseback riding, and a visit to a Blowhole flea market. There were other activities as well but we started late so we missed out but I will be back. Check this out, you won't regret it.
